The Takeda clan was one of the most powerful clans during the Sengoku era. The clan is mostly notable for it's use of cavalry. The clan's Diamyo Takeda Shingen is also mostly notable for clashing with the Uesugi's Uesugi Kenshin. The Takeda clan was destroyed by the Oda clan in the Battle of Tenmokuzan, when under the rule of Takeda Katsuyori.
