Japanese Name: 織田氏

The Oda clan was one of the three most powerful clans during the Sengoku period. Centered in Owari Province, it expanded its territory through conflict with surrounding clans, ultimately enabling its leader, Oda Nobunaga, to be recognized as one of the three great unifiers of Japan. The clan’s power declined significantly following the Battle of Honnō-ji, which resulted in Nobunaga’s death. Afterward, the young Oda Hidenobu succeeded as the clan’s daimyō, holding the position until his death at the Battle of Sekigahara.
